Introducing the One Body Initiative

We are a non-profit organization from the NC Triangle committed to raising funds to supply humanitarian aid in regions of the world where these resources are scarce. Our current focus is in the Al-Mawasi refugee camp in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip. We are collaborating with other non-profit organizations that operate out of Khan Younis, as well as our ground operations team operated by Yahya Al-Qassas to provide food, hygiene supplies, and school supplies for the Ro’ya School. We are proud to announce that as of August 12, 2024, we are officially incorporated in the state of North Carolina, and we awaiting our 501c3 non-profit status. Each month we will share progress and the impact that the funds we raise have on the people of Gaza. We are dedicated to connecting the NC Triangle community and the Gazan community—amidst theatrocities to findthe goodand hope.We are the One Body. AljasadAlwahed.

Community yard sale was a success!

A big, heartfelt thank you from the One Body team to all those that donated items for our yard sale and came out to volunteer! We could not have done it without you! We had hundreds of customers. Thank you to all who came outto support us. Our goal was to raise $5,000. We raised $4,003 through sales, and $3,101 through direct donations alone at the day of our event, bringing us to a total of $7,104! We will be hosting another yard sale Sunday, September 8. Pleasespreadthe word toeverycommunity!

Updates from Gaza

Ro’yaSchool

The second semester at Ro’ya School is progressing exceptionally well, with 1200 students enrolled and actively engaged in their regular studies while also participating in a variety of activities designed to support their mental health. This balanced approach ensures that students are not only excelling academically but also maintaining their well-being. We are proud to share that our school community has grown to include 80 dedicated volunteers, comprising teachers and other staff members, all working together tocreate a supportive and enrichinglearningenvironment.

Bulk food items

We keep food essentials a priority. We are currently partnering with other non-profits like the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation that have local operations to deliver food in bulk to neighborhoods in Khan Younis.

Where will the funds go?

School supplies

We believe that it is also important to bring a bit of normalcy to children, both from a mental health perspective and developmental perspective. With 1,200 children enrolled, we are providing basic schoolsupplies.

Local Small Business Feature

ABA Love provides child-centered behavioral health services in the home and daycare settings in the greater Johnston county area. Hadeel Khrais is an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst who started this business to ensure that clients needs are first and are taught the skills necessary to become an independent member of society.
